The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is one of the fastest growing international curricula in the world.
The IPC is the result of years of development, testing and improvement, underpinned by the desire for rigorous learning, high levels of engagement, international-mindedness and personal development.
It is a comprehensive curriculum with a clear process of learning and with specific learning goals for every subject, for personal learning and for international mindedness. The IPC is now the curriculum choice of over 1,800 international and national schools in more than 90 countries around the world. Including the majority of the International schools in the Netherlands.
Prinseschool has used IPC since 2008 In the past year, the school worked very hard on the preparations for the accreditation.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that, in June 2016, International School Twente (ISTwente) was awarded the IPC accreditation with a ‘mastering’ level* for two of the nine criteria. (*The levels achievable are: beginning, developing and mastering)
- Criterion 2: A shared vision about the kinds of children we are helping to develop.
- Criterion 4 : International Mindedness.
The accreditation is a wonderful tribute to the hard work and dedication of the ISTwente school community.
A school that is accredited proves that the IPC, as a curriculum, is both rigorous and developmental.
